Pull out your garden gloves. It’s time to participate in the Mitchellville Lions Club’s annual Yard of the Month recognition program. Nominate those residences, businesses, or service organizations that make Mitchellville shine.

Enter your yard or someone else’s in the Mitchellville Lions Club Yard of the Month program. Don’t know who lives there? Enter the property address.Nominated landscapes must be within Mitchellville.
Only the portion of the yard viewed from the street will be taken into consideration.
Nominations must be received before the 20th of the month to be considered for the following month
The Lions Club will review nominations and select a residence, business, or service organization to be recognized for June, July, August, and September. Selection will be completed the last week of each month and the winner will be announced at that time.

August Yard of the Month - Mitchellville Methodist Church
Sunday after services at the Methodist Church (207 Market Ave NW), we presented our Yard of the Month certificate to Pastor Martha Hill and Master Gardener Dean Brand, Artie Fennimore, and Laura Ault who are the most involved with maintaining the beautiful landscape. Mitchellville United Methodist Church is August Yard of the Month
The Mitchellville United Methodist Church is our August Yard of the Month. Several volunteers, among them Ardie Fennimore and Master Gardener Dean Brand, make this a beautiful yard.

Mitchellville Lions present the Yard of the Month Award to Gwen Seward Lewis of 305 5th St NW. It is obvious that Gwen enjoys spending time on her yard.
